Ximena is not just a consultant or vendor — she is a true partner. She is driven deeply by her own personal values and only takes on work that genuinely moves her and that is evident in the energy that she brings to her work. She is very clear about why she is doing the outreach that she’s doing and takes her clients along in her thinking of how that outreach rolls up into her strategy. Ximena goes above and beyond for her projects. For instance, we had a lot of community partners for the project that we worked on together and because she saw each of those partners as surrogates for press that she knew would create a great halo around the project, she offered media training to each of those organizations. I would 100% endorse Ximena and would recommend her to anyone who is doing a project that sits at the nexus of civic, cultural, community and/or political work.
— Abby Pucker, CEO and Co-Founder, Gertie

Ximena is an all-star communications expert. Few PR pros know the inner workings of newsrooms but as a writer herself on culture, food, and lifestyle she gets how to land a pitch. When we needed support in a pinch, Ximena was there to move fast and get us exactly what we needed.
— Matt Hill, Senior Director of Communications, 2024 Democratic National Convention Committee

C1 Revolution has been a critical part of the event’s public relations team since 2017. Ximena’s enthusiasm and dynamic approach to storytelling has extended the event’s impact and enriched our relationships with not only members of the media, but also within the running community. The success we’ve seen with the team ranges from local and national story placements to in-person events that highlight the vibrant and diverse nature of our events.
— Carey Pinkowski, Executive Race Director, Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Ximena was instrumental in the inception of our PR program at Portillo’s. Ximena has been a pleasure to work with – her ideas are great and her ability to be flexible in her process has made it easy working with the C1 team. Ximena and her team were able to secure great media placements for us, including several Chicagoland and national press features, many celebrity influencer posts, and even the first feature on a national Snapchat Story.
— Nick Scarpino, VP of marketing and communication for Portillo's

C1 Revolution truly lived up to their name with their approach to PR for One Hope United. They helped us build our brand in Chicago in new and unexpected ways: bringing digital influencers to our new signature annual event Hope In Action, helping place an op-ed written by one of our Child Development Center Directors in the Sun-Times, and placing PSAs for us on Univision radio in markets where many of the families we serve speak Spanish, a first for our agency. Most importantly to us at OHU, Ximena and her team brought a real passion for the mission to all they did in partnership with us. They helped us stay on top of issues of significance to the human services sector and thought of ways to position the organization and our staff that we hadn’t previously considered. We love working with C1!
— Em Hall, former Senior Vice President for One Hope United

C1 Revolution has done a great job of spreading the Foodseum story through media opportunities, press and influencer outreach. They provide experienced strategic advice in creating opportunities for media coverage, detailed feedback on campaigns and continuously look for unique angles to reach our target audience. Their network of influencers seems to grow by the week and spans the full spectrum from long-standing giants to trending new-comers.

C1 is unlike any other PR firm. Though we’re a young startup, we did have a brief experience with a larger more industrial firm and it soured our understanding of good public relations. Then Ximena Beltran came along 🙂 She in particular, has gone to bat for us time and again. We never have to worry about whether she’s pitching us or looking out for the next big opportunity, because it feels like nearly every day we wake up to a new buzz-worthy idea or new press opportunity. They’re hungry, entrepreneurial, and deliver incredible value.
— Steven Dyme, CEO and co-founder of Flowers for Dreams
