Today, we had the fun task of sharing a behind the scenes look at how he works through a Facebook Live stream with Entrepreneur. Check out the footage below and stay current with Nathan by following him at @NathanMichael and @LowResStudio.

How To Use Facebook Live in Your PR/Marketing Strategy

According to Digiday, when top Facebook publishers, like CNNThe Huffington Post and BuzzFeed post video to the social network, the payoff is much greater than when they post links (Publishers’ Facebook videos are shared 7 times more than links).

Can PR and marketing people capitalize off of Facebook’s video features? Yes. And now is the time to do it. How? Hear directly from C1 Revolution Founder Ximena N. Larkin.

She has successfully pitched and streamed Facebook Live videos with Esquire, NY Magazine, Entrepreneur, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Refinery29. Larkin will be featured in PR News’s upcoming Video Guidebook for her expertise on this topic. Get a head start on how to incorporate Facebook Live in to your communication plan. Ximena will share lessons learned, who/what to pitch and mistakes to avoid.

Bites and booze will be served. Takeaways from producers and editors at NY Mag (Daily Intelligencer, Vulture, The Cut, Science of Us, Grub Street) and Refinery29, will be provided. Buy your tickets here.

2015 Year in Review

As 2015 comes to a close, we wanted to look back at all the amazing clients and fun we had! Let’s take a look…

First up, we had our Instagram takeover of PRCouture.

We hosted “Mastering the Art of PR Pitching,” with Emerald-Jane Hunter, former booker for ABC’s Windy City Live, and Afua Owusu, supervising producer for WGN-TV’s morning show. One of our core values is helping others because when one publicists/agency does well-we all do well.

We welcomed two new members to the team: Kim Kovacik and Emma Gonzalez Neira (who helped model flower crowns for Flowers for Dreams).

Ximena went to see our client, Sarah Seven, debut her ready to wear line on the runway in New York.

We partnered with Entrepreneur magazine and started The Revolutionaries, a web series about the best ideas, people and campaigns in communication.

We turned Vanille Patisserie into Snow White’s Happy Apple pop-up bakery with our client Princesses With a Twist, where Snow White was played by our very own Emma Gonzalez Neira.

Our graphic designer, Eric Upham, designed a banner for DePaul University.

The “Hot Dog and Encased Meat of the World,” Foodseum’s  first pop-up museum, came to life.

We got our girl Nicole Suarez on Windy City Live and Cellular Field to throw out the first pitch at a White Sox game.

Ximena got to interview Ludacris for The Revolutionaries.

We sent Mindy Kaling and Ike Barinholtz lunch from Portillo’s…and saw the love on Instagram.

Kim got to photograph a Vevo hosted Joe Jonas/DNCE concert for Moonlight Studios.

Our top 5 Instagram posts of 2015:

Overall, we had a great year with the most amazing clients. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way. See you in 2016!

Project& Takes Teen Poets to the White House

Project& is a nonprofit organization focused on using art as a tool to promote social change and youth leadership.

For National Youth Justice Awareness Month, Chicago’s Cheryl Pope and D.C.’s Nathan Diamond took a group of young poets to the White House. The White House trip focused on promoting youth justice and community empowerment through the arts.

By syncing the strong voices of Chicago’s and D.C.’s youth, Project& was able shed light on the dark realities of urban violence and juvenile justice.
